
He now hopes his suspended airline will resume flights soon.
He told Malay Mail Online that he plans to reapply for the air service licence (ASL) and air operator certificate (AOC) early next month.
The Shariah-compliant airline was launched last December.
However, on June 13, the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) and Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) announced the revocation of Rayani Air’s AOC and ASL, following an inquiry.
Mavcom had said the airline lacked the financial and management capacity to continue operating as a commercial airline.
The DCA suspended Rayani’s AOC in April for its unauthorised halting of operations after its pilots stopped working over unpaid salaries.
Ravi said he was in the midst of negotiations with his investor and hoped to refund customers who had bought tickets.
On Aug 8, Deputy Transport Minister Ab Aziz Kaprawi suggested that the airline submit a new application if it wanted to resume operations.
