Seremban Police Chief ACP Muhamad Zaki Harun said a police forensics team rushed to the hostel after being summoned about 2pm.

He said police had earlier received a report from a medical officer of Tuanku Jaafar Hospital that a 22-year-old woman patient had suffered bleeding following a miscarriage.

“The woman was a student of the private college. She was unmarried,” he said in a statement.

He said police questioned the woman and learned that she had given birth to the baby in the toilet and then wrapped the body in a towel and placed it in a plastic bag which she kept in a locker in the room.

The body was found by her roommate today, he said.
