PETALING JAYA: A GrabCar driver was robbed by his passengers early today.
NST Online reported that two men used the mobile app to hail the ride-sharing GrabCar taxi service about 1am.
Once the car reached Jalan 18, Taman Sri Jelok, Kajang, the two men got into the vehicle and robbed the driver.
They also assaulted the driver, aged 27, who suffered injuries to his face, head and hands.
However, lucky for the driver, a passerby witnessed the incident and helped nab the men, both aged 39.
The two were handed over to the Kajang police station.
District Police Chief Asst Commissioner Othman Nanyan said both men had criminal records.
