SEREMBAN:
The state government will help bear the cost of bringing back Negeri Sembilan Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi Mara chief clerk Mohamad Sahar Mhd Noor, who suffered a stroke in London.

Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan said the state government would help to ensure there was adequate funds to bring back Mohamad Sahar, who was admitted to Charing Cross Hospital in west London.

“This is an obligation of the state government to ensure Mohamad Sahar and his family can be brought home safely.

“We will assist and add to what is short, apart from what Mara has contributed, for humanitarian reasons,” he told the media after attending the state level closing of the 1437H Season Haj Premier Course here yesterday.

Mohamad Sahar, 57, was reported to have suffered from a stroke upon his arrival at the Heathrow Airport, London, on July 4 while on his way to attend his daughter Atikah’s convocation.

Meanwhile, Mohamad urged haj pilgrims not to be separated from their group, avoid over-exposure to the sun and to drink a lot of water.

“Malaysian haj pilgrims should also not take part in any events such as demonstrations because one does not know what can take place.

“We should just mind our own business and help each other so that the haj pilgrims stay safe and in peace,” he said.

A total 920 haj pilgrims from Negeri Sembilan would perform the haj this year.

The two-day course which ended yesterday was held with the aim of revising and delivering the latest information in a more practical form in preparation before the pilgrims depart for the Holy Land.
