In a Facebook posting, the airline advised passengers to update their contact details at www.airasia.com to ensure they received notification of any changes to their flights through email and short messaging service.

“AirAsia is closely monitoring the potential impact of this storm and will continue to update passengers in a timely manner on any changes due to the severe tropical storm Nida.

“We would also like to advise all passengers travelling to and from southern China to check their flight status on our website,” it added.
