KUALA LUMPUR:
Opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has confirmed the possibility of Penang snap polls being discussed during the PKR political bureau meeting tonight.

“Yes, one of the agenda items,” she told reporters at the Kuala Lumpur High Court this afternoon.

When asked if Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had been invited to the meeting, Wan Azizah said DAP had to come as snap polls was a matter that must be discussed by all Pakatan Harapan component parties.

“At the moment, we have to wait for his (Lim’s) confirmation.

“We have a good relationship with DAP, but we will have to wait and see.”

Earlier today, English daily The Star reported that a six-member DAP delegation comprising top leaders had met Wan Azizah last night regarding the snap polls.

The report also claimed that Wan Azizah was non-committal about holding the polls and had requested PKR leaders from Penang to attend the meeting and provide their feedback.
