KOTA KINABALU: An empty tugboat but with the engine still running was found abandoned this morning in the waters of Dent Haven, Tambisan, Lahad Datu.
It is learnt that the authorities are investigating the fate of five local crew members who were believed to be on the boat.
The boat was later taken to the Lahad Datu marine base for further investigations.
Sabah Police Commissioner Abdul Rashid Harun, when contacted, said police were still waiting for confirmation from his officers about the incident.
