PETALING JAYA:
A “grieving” husband in Nilai, who reported the murder of his wife, may be her killer.

According to a report by the News Straits Times, the man, in his 20s, told police that he came home to find his wife dead on the living room floor, all battered and bruised.

However, the police were suspicious, and interrogated him further.

The man is now believed to have beaten her to death with the help of his friends, using motorcycle helmets, an umbrella and a mop.

The man, in his 20s, was arrested with four others over the gruesome murder which took place on July 1 at the Taman Semarak Nilai flats.

“The husband, who is the main suspect, had lodged a police report on July 4 claiming that he found his wife, 25, dead in the living room,” said District Police Chief Superintendent Zaldino Zaludin.

“According to his statement, they had an argument around 7pm on July 1 before he stormed out of the house.

“He claimed that when he returned home three days later, he found his wife lying motionless on the living room floor with bruises on her face. He then lodged the police report.”

Jealousy is believed to be the motive behind the murder.
