PETALING JAYA:
A 40-year-old executive was badly injured after he was shot at six times while on the way to work this morning.

In the 8.40am incident, Low Aik Joon was driving along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban highway, heading towards Damansara when a motorcyclist shot him six times.

Fortunately, he survived the attack despite five bullets hitting him in the arm, chest and neck.

Pictures of the victim, standing in a blood-drenched shirt, by the side of the road are currently circulating on social media.

Low was later sent to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia where he is said to be in stable condition.

Police believe that Low was shot in connection with a police report lodged following a death threat over a domestic issue.

Police also later found five 9mm Thai Arm casings at the scene of the crime.

This is the third drive-by shooting in the past two weeks.

Earlier this month, a 43-year-old businessman was shot dead in his vehicle near Sungai Rasau Toll Plaza.

Gooi Tan Hock was believed to have been shot dead by an individual on a motorcycle.

Last week, two men – car repossessors – were shot by two people near a Shell petrol station in Sunway, Batu Caves. They survived the shooting and police has since identified the suspects.
