GEORGE TOWN:
PKR will act without fear or favour against any member caught for graft, party Deputy President Mohamed Azmin Ali said today.

Commenting on reports of a former PKR MP who was alleged to be corrupt, Azmin stressed that the Selangor Government would cooperate in any investigation conducted by the authorities.

“We will not protect any parties who are involved in wrongdoing or corruption. This is against the Selangor Government practice.

“We subscribe to the principles of transparency and responsibility in handling the state’s khazanah,” the Selangor MB told reporters at the Penang Hospital today.

Azmin and Penang PKR leaders visited Kedah MB Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah at the Penang Hospital today.

It was reported that a Selangor PKR division chief, a former MP was alleged to have sought bribes and cheated several disabled persons of their retirement money.

On Wednesday, anti-graft authorities interrogated the former federal lawmaker and the person was freed on bail this morning.
