The award is Italy’s highest decoration to recognise civilian and military expatriates or foreigners who made an outstanding contribution to the preservation and promotion of national prestige abroad, promoting friendly relations and co-operation between other countries and Italy.
Faisal was presented the award by Ambassador of Italy to Malaysia, Mario Sammartino during the Italian National day celebration dinner in Kuala Lumpur at JW Marriott Hotel yesterday, The Star Online reported today.
Faisal, in a statement later, dedicated the award to his late father SM Nasimuddin and his staff.
