The Deputy Prime Minister who had just returned from a working visit to Japan was accompanied by family members and friends as well as acquaintances of the deceased.
Syed Alman Zain, 44, the husband of Zahid’s eldest daughter, Nurulhidayah, 37, passed away following treatment at a clinic in Bangsar yesterday.
The deputy prime minister’s wife Hamidah Khamis, International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Ahmad Maslan and Malaysian Armed Forces chief, General Zulkifeli Mohd Zin were also present at the surau.
