Guan Eng questions PAS’ credibility after latest attacks

DAP leader regrets that former coalition partner still continues 'hate and extremist' ways, spewing lies to garner support.

GEORGE TOWN:
PAS is running out of political capital and is spewing lies to garner support, DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng said following attacks by the Islamist party.

He added the latest onslaught on DAP was also uncouth as PAS had sworn off such tactics before.

“This is not the first time. Last time you called us babi (pigs), which made the non-Muslim community angry.

“You now say we sold Malay land in Penang. Please show us proof, do not spread malicious lies,” Lim said in a press conference in Komtar today.

The Penang Chief Minister also said it was unfathomable that PAS had continued to get support despite spewing such “hate and extremism” as well as spreading lies.

PAS Youth had taken a swipe at the secular party during the muktamar.

The wing’s chief Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Aziz had said DAP was the reason behind the break up of the party, with the setting up of Parti Amanah Negara. He also said that non-Muslims were also tired of DAP’s antics.

He also described the faction who split from the party to form Amanah as “drunkards” who were fed by the DAP.

At the same muktamar, a Penang PAS delegate suggested that the party contest in all seats in the state, in the next General Election, in order to save Malays and their rights.
