KUALA LUMPUR:
The Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system is expected to be fully implemented by 2018, said Deputy Works Minister Rosnah Rashid Shirlin.

She said the ETC implementation was aimed at reducing traffic congestion by between 30 and 50 percent through the use of technology.

“The concessionaires are providing various initiatives to ease the use of electronic payments for users and I am sure they can always refer to the customer care service for assistance.

“I hope the people will take this positively because it is intended to help all road users, not to make life difficult for them,” she said here today after launching the sixth edition of the Asean M&E Show 2016, the premier mechanical and electrical engineering event which will end on May 25.
