“He is still in hospital recovering. His BP shot up very high last night and he fainted.
“He is in a hospital recovering,” said a Rayani Air employee who did not want to be named.
Earlier, New Straits Times Online reported that Ravi failed to attend the Department of Civil Aviation’s inquiry today because he had fainted.
His wife, Karthiyani Govindan, had said: “I’m sorry … Ravi fainted,” after attending the session along with an airline staff member.
She also told reporters she was rushing to hospital to attend to her husband.
“We’ve received good response from the DCA and there will be another session with them next week,” she said.
The DCA, on April 11, suspended the airline’s operations certificate for three months after Rayani halted operations following a pilot strike that left dozens of passengers stranded.
The DCA is in the midst of investigating the airline’s operations certificate.
Rayani Air is Malaysia’s first shariah-compliant airline, featuring tudung-clad female flight attendants.
