
PETALING JAYA: A Parti Kebangsaan Sabah candidate had to be rushed to hospital after he fainted at the nomination centre in Tuaran this morning.
Dusi Gingging, who is contesting the Kiulu seat, passed out shortly after he had submitted his nomination form, Sabah Media reported
He was said to have been waiting for the balloting of the candidate numbers when he suddenly fell over.
According to Bernama, the Barisan Nasional candidate for Sulaman, Dr Shahnon Rizal Thaijuddin, and Warisan candidate for Kiulu, Joseph Lee, were nearby and came to Dusi’s aid before medical personnel arrived.
Dusi was later taken to Tuaran Hospital in an ambulance.
In the last state election, Joniston Bangkuai of GRS won the seat with a 1,221-vote majority.
