In an interview, posted on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page, the Crown Prince of Johor said he was puzzled as to why the authorities would want to monitor his movements as he was no terrorist.
“I don’t understand why my phone is bugged. I don’t understand why my movements are monitored by the Special Branch.
“I’m not dangerous. I have never killed anyone except for Malaysian football.”
Tunku Ismail also said he was merely a leader who cared for his people.
When contacted for comments on the allegation, Bukit Aman Special Branch Director Mohamad Fuzi Harun said he was aware of Tunku Ismail’s claims.
He revealed that he had briefed Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar.
“I cannot comment on the matter,” he told FMT.
