Borneo Post Online quoted the Women, Family and Community Development minister saying that this should be done as a sign of respect to families of the crash victims.
“It is unethical and I urge everyone to stop spreading and sharing those images,” she said at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) morgue yesterday.
According to her, forensic specialists are still conducting an autopsy on the last body recovered from Batang Lupar yesterday – the identity of which is yet to be ascertained.
A representative from the Philippines Embassy will be arriving in Kuching today to arrange documentation and delivery of the body, believed to be that of the helicopter pilot Captain Rudolf Rex Ragas, back to his home country.
Ragas flew the Eurocopter AS350 helicopter that crashed in Sebuyau last Thursday during a flight from Betong to Kuching, during campaigning for the state election.
The remains of five others on board the same chopper have been recovered and identified.
They are Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Noriah Kasnon, her husband Asmuni Abdullah, Kuala Kangsar MP Wan Muhammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad, Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry Secretary-General Dr Sundaran Annamalai and Noriah’s bodyguard, Ahmad Sobri Harun.
