PETALING JAYA: A woman sent her lover to kill her husband after claiming that he abused her, but the attempt on his life failed, the Star Online reported.
According to Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari, the lover, who is an Indian national, along with a Sri Lankan friend attacked the woman’s husband near Taman Puchong Permai apartments at 11.30pm on April 24.
“The attack left the victim with 30 stitches to his head. He was attacked with a machete and an axe,” Mohammad Azlin said.
He said the woman had allegedly told her lover that her husband was abusing her and that she wanted her spouse out of her life permanently.
He added that the woman, however, had never reported any abuse by the husband to the police.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
