Astro Awani said the actress succumbed to pancreatic cancer at 7.16pm. She was 47 years old.

Social activist Marina Mahathir posted on Facebook: “Rest in peace, Samantha Schubert… too young to go.”
Also an actress, Schubert starred in the films “Amok”, “The Red Kebaya” and “Red Scorpion 2”.
She had carved her name as a model in the 1990s and was also involved in theatre.
Fellow thespian Shanthini Venugopal shared a couple of pictures together with a poem which ended with the words: “Now you’re free Sam. Fly Away.”
Schubert has three children from her marriage to Oliver Knotts; Jodie, Harry and Thomas.
