There are only isolated cases involving students who are still weak but they still attend school, he told reporters here today.
“We are also confident that the school management will be able to follow the standard operating procedures in handling the case as they are more familiar with the students.”
Jaafar refuted allegations that the incident had affected a large number of school students.
He also hoped the matter would not be exaggerated to ensure the incidents could be addressed comprehensively and quickly.
Last week, 50 female students and teachers of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pengkalan Chepa II were reportedly struck by hysteria.
