The two are PBB Supreme Council members Abdul Karim Hamzah and Abdullah Saidol.
Karim said Foo was a political novice who did not deserve to be a BN candidate as he did not know how to be a team player. “His (Foo’s) allegations and comments are very serious, provocative, and could affect the good relationship between SUPP and other BN coalition partners, especially PBB,” Borneo Post Online reported him as saying.
Karim said PBB members were angry and called on Foo, BN’s pending candidate, to apologise to Adenan.
Abdullah, meanwhile, said Foo’s questioning of Adenan’s credibility and sincerity as state BN chairman was truly shocking.
He said he was unsure if Foo had secured the “blessings” of his SUPP superiors before making such naive remarks as all state BN members had many opportunities to convey any disagreement or differing view with Adenan.
“Those who have been long in BN will understand the culture of ‘agree to disagree’ on certain issues with our leadership, but mutual respect must be in place and such discussions should be done in an appropriate manner and forum.”
He added that Foo’s allegation that Adenan had acted arbitrarily without consulting BN component parties was “grossly fallacious and vexatious.”
Abdullah also suggested that Foo contest on his own without the BN logo since he was not a team player.
Foo had earlier, in an open later, criticised Adenan for his selection of candidates and lack of consultation with component parties. He had also said people wanted a chief minister who walked the talk, and not an authoritative and dictatorial leader.
