He was quoted as saying, on BH Online, that he sees the resistance from parties uncomfortable with his presence here, as a challenge.
“I would like to thank Hindraf for giving me free publicity. Now, I have more people coming to my events to hear me talk.
“I am also thankful that these attacks have united the two Muslim political parties in the country – Umno and PAS. When the enemies come, Muslims unite,” he was quoted as saying at a forum in Jertih, Terengganu, last night.
“I believe, even if I can unite the Muslims, no matter how small a population, I hope Allah will bless my preaching.”
Zakir also said he would abide by the authorities’ ruling to change the topic of his forum in Malacca this Sunday.
“I expect more people to come to my talk in Malacca this weekend, with all the controversy surrounding it. I can feel the people of Malacca can’t wait for my presence.”
He said this was his sixth trip to Malaysia in 20 years, and the attendance at his talks has been steadily on the rise.
