The fiery deputy minister of agriculture and agro-based industry said this in response to a question – in the form of a poem – by Che Mohamad Zulkifly Jusoh (BN-Setiu), who was mocking the controversy surrounding the purchase of Lim’s bungalow.
“Guan Eng is being ‘queen controlled’. He bought the bungalow because his wife liked the house,” Tajuddin told the House today.
Lim was accused recently of having purchased a double-storey bungalow on 10,000 sq ft of land at No 25 Jalan Pinhorn, off Green Lane in George Town for only RM2.8 million.
Lim has since stated he was unaware about the actual value of the house and only agreed to purchase it after the previous owner had agreed to the sum based on an understanding with his wife, Betty Chew.
