SHAH ALAM:
A total of 140 Selangor-based non-governmental organisations have expressed their unwavering loyalty and support for the leadership of Prime Minister Najib Razak.

The groups made their declaration of loyalty at the Selangor Umno building yesterday, led by Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunus, notorious for his involvement in the controversial Red Shirts demonstration of last year.

“I represent NGOs in Selangor who pledge our unwavering support and loyalty towards the leadership of Prime Minister Najib Razak.

“We also strongly condemn the Citizens’ Declaration headed by former premier Dr Mahathir (Mohamad) and his minions, as it is baseless and only a shortcut to Putrajaya,” he said.

According to Jamal, Mahathir’s actions have tarnished his own good name as an elder statesman.

“We also feel disappointed and insulted by the acts of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and other Umno leaders who are working with the racist DAP to topple the prime minister,” he said.

At the declaration, Jamal said he would soon mobilise representatives from 5,000 NGOs nationwide to voice their support for Najib and rejecting of Mahathir.
