KUANTAN: Pekan Umno division has called on police to take action against a Facebook account holder with the name “Suppiah Ramakrishnan” for allegedly insulting Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor.
Its Social Media Bureau head, Mohd Zaidin Mohamad, said the posting of a picture of Najib and Rosmah during umrah (minor haj) mocked the couple and Islam with its caption.
He was speaking to Bernama after lodging a report at the Jaya Gading police station in Pekan today.
In Kota Kinabalu, the coalition of pro-BN non-governmental organisations lodged a similar police report against the posting.
