PETALING JAYA: Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin should complain to “Big Brother” Anwar Ibrahim about the sacking of two Penang PKR assemblymen from their positions in state-linked companies.

Pro-Umno blog MyKMU said this in an article today, in an obvious swipe at Azmin’s “anger” towards Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for sacking Bukit Tengah representative Ong Chin Wen, and Kebun Bunga representative Cheah Kah Peng from state-linked companies.

The duo were removed after both abstained from voting on a land reclamation motion months ago.

“My advice to Azmin is, he should complain to his ‘Big Brother’ who is currently living in a cell in Sungai Buloh prison. Maybe Anwar can send a letter from the prison to urge Guan Eng to give Azmin a break.

“Although he (Anwar) is a prisoner, I am confident Guan Eng will entertain him due to his position as the ‘shadow cabinet prime minister’,” the writer said.

Lim had earlier described Ong and Cheah’s abstinence as a betrayal and called the duo “backstabbers”. He also questioned their ability to be effective directors at companies he chaired.

Azmin yesterday however, defended the two PKR assemblymen, saying that they were just doing their job and that his party would send an official letter to the Penang state government as well as Lim to express their stand on the matter.

“Will Azmin’s ‘roar’ change Guan Eng’s decision? Is Guan Eng willing to retract his decision? He was humiliated once in the state assembly that he controls, is the CM willing to be humiliated again?”

The writer said however that there was little chance Lim would go back on his decision to can the duo, and said Azmin’s letter would most probably be ignored.
