KUALA LUMPUR:
1MDB Chairman Lodin Wok Kamaruddin will be summoned again tomorrow to give his statement to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as it continues its probe into the debt-ridden state investment arm.

PAC Chairman Hasan Arifin told a media conference today that the committee needed to look into a few matters in more detail.

He said PAC was trying to settle the investigation in time for its report to be tabled in Parliament in March.

“The proceeding will continue again tomorrow at 9:30am with Tan Sri Lodin, as there are several details that need to be looked into and also because Tan Sri Lodin has served as the longest 1MDB chairman,” Hasan told reporters.

Lodin assumed the post in October 2010.

Hasan said the hearing with Lodin would be done by tomorrow, in the late afternoon at the latest.

He added that PAC would decide whether or not to call former 1MDB chairman Mohd Bakke Salleh after hearing Lodin’s testimony.

Bakke was the chairman for two months before Lodin took over the job.

Asked to comment on today’s proceedings, Hasan said what the PAC found out was “not even half of the things we need to know”.

Last month, Hasan announced that the tabling of an audit report on 1MDB, which was supposed to be made on December 17, had been postponed to an unspecified date.
