
PAS election director Mustafa Ali said that the party would cooperate with the ruling party on non-political matters for the benefit of the people, according to a media report.
Party vice-president Idris Ahmad denied that PAS would act as advisers to Umno. He said PAS, as a political party, would seek to advise any party, whether it is Umno or DAP.
PAS Research Centre director Dr Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki said the formalisation of the Pakatan Harapan coalition would not affect the PAS relationship with PKR and the party would cooperate with PKR on issues of mutual interest.
The PAS leaders spoke to reporters while at a closed-door party meeting at Kolej Universiti Islam Zulkifli Muhammad, attended by about 200 members.
