PETALING JAYA:
PAS Youth has applauded the Court of Appeal’s decision to overturn the ruling that the unilateral conversion of three minors to Islam was invalid, as a win against the liberal agenda.

PAS Youth deputy chief Khalil Abdul Hadi, in a statement, said the court’s decision that the move by Muslim convert Riduan Abdullah to convert his three children despite his non-Muslim ex-wife’s protest, is a success for Islam.

“It is also a victory for the religion against the evil that is promoted by the liberals, to deny the struggle of a father in defending the faith of his children, after they have embraced Islam.”

The Youth wing also wanted yesterday’s decision to serve as a warning against those challenging the sanctity of Islam.

“Certain parties’ attempt to interfere in the affairs of the religion is in fact insulting Islam, the official religion of the Federation. These attempts could affect the harmony and destabilise society.”

Khalil then called on Muslims to avoid such incidents.

“Congratulations to Ridwan and Insya Allah, PAS Youth is with you in this holy cause for Allah’s religion.”
