‘Reformasi’ is dead, says Wan Fayhsal

The Bersatu Youth chief says reform is not possible when the deputy prime minister is on trial facing corruption charges.

Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has sounded the death knell for “Reformasi”, the slogan first used by supporters of Anwar Ibrahim and adopted by Pakatan Harapan supporters to demand reforms.

Instead, Wan Fayhsal led a crowd of Perikatan Nasional supporters in chanting “Referendum”, reflecting the view that tomorrow’s elections in six states would also be a vote on Anwar’s unity government.

Wan Fayhsal, speaking at a PN election ceramah here, said voters had been promised “false reforms” by the current unity government, including unfulfilled promises.
