Batu Tiga folk say parachute candidate Rina faces uphill battle

Residents say night market walkabouts are not enough to gain people’s trust.

Bersatu’s Rina Harun may be a big name with ministerial experience, but Batu Tiga residents say they don’t know her well enough to cast their ballots in her favour.

A resident told FMT that PN would have stood a better chance if it had not parachuted in an outsider like Rina, adding that she had a daunting task to convince residents to vote for her this Saturday.

“It is not enough for her to go to places like the night market. She also has to go door-to-door at the residential areas and greet the locals,” said the man in his 50s.
