Cops receive 4 reports over claims Sanusi’s safety at risk

Kedah police chief Fisol Salleh says the remarks were defamatory in nature and could disrupt public order.

ALOR SETAR:
The police have confirmed receiving four reports over remarks made by an MP in a ceramah in Sungai Petani last Sunday, which suggested that the safety of caretaker Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Nor was at risk.

Kedah police chief Fisol Salleh said the remarks, which were uploaded on Facebook, were defamatory in nature, made with the intent to mislead, and could disrupt public order.

“The police have identified and called in several witnesses for their statements and to assist in the investigations,” he told reporters at the Kedah police headquarters here today.
