PADANG TERAP: PH and BN will not face a shortage of candidates to nominate for the position of Kedah menteri besar if the coalition manages to form the next state government.
However, Kedah BN chairman Mahdzir Khalid said the matter will be one for the coalitions’ top leaders to discuss and the Kedah sultan to decide.
“If any names are submitted, let the sultan choose, as the menteri besar is appointed based on the sultan’s authority,” said the former Kedah menteri besar during a speech in Taman Ria, Sungai Petani.
