PETALING JAYA: Berjaya Land will lodge a police report after caretaker Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Nor’s “baseless and unsubstantiated” claims about the RM700 million river-widening project known as the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG).
SMG will see the widening and deepening of the Klang river from Mid Valley City in Kuala Lumpur to Port Klang.
In a statement, Berjaya Land said that during a Perikatan Nasional ceramah in Jitra, Kedah, on Wednesday night, Sanusi had falsely claimed that Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) sold 55% of its fully-owned subsidiary’s shares to Berjaya Land and/or its related companies in relation to SMG.
