PETALING JAYA: PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has warned that Umno will turn against its friends when the party obtains more power.
He cited instances when Umno withdrew support for Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin when he was the prime minister, and from Bersatu deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu when he was Perak menteri besar.
“If you notice, when Umno feels strong, it will turn against its friends. In Perak, they withdrew support for Faizal, they changed the (menteri besar) to an Umno man,” he said at a ceramah last night.
