GEORGE TOWN: Pakatan Harapan candidate Azrul Mahathir Aziz was brought to tears as he was given a long hug and kiss by his elder sister Nor Murni, 55, before entering the nomination centre to submit his papers for the Bayan Lepas seat.
“Before you all go, I want to hug and kiss my dear brother,” Murni said as she embraced Azrul, who started tearing up.
Azrul’s supporters, which included Amanah vice-president Mujahid Yusof Rawa and Barisan Nasional members, sang the Selawat Nabi (a veneration to the prophet) as he walked into the centre.
