Whether you need to turn a bad day around or are looking for a celebratory treat, there’s no problem that can’t be fixed with a delicious serving of ice cream. The best time for ice cream is “always!”, especially with Malaysia’s hot weather.
This month, Pavilion Bukit Jalil is celebrating all things ice cream, from gelato and waffles to bingsu and fro-yo. Here’s a list of the most drool-worthy desserts at this new shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur.
1. Cool classics
Hankering for ice cream, sherbets, sorbets, shakes and cakes? Baskin-Robbins has become a Malaysian household name, with 31 delicious flavours to choose from, including its Strawberry Cheesecake and Jamoca Almond Fudge.
Popular ice-cream milkshakes include the Classic Chocolate, Very Berry Strawberry, and Mint Chocolate Chip – you’ll definitely want to cool down with one of these bad boys.
Also, stay tuned for the all-new Cendol Blast ice-cream milkshake coming next month in conjunction with Merdeka Day!

2. Ice ice baby

Serving up natural and authentic Taiwanese desserts, Yam Fresh’s range of shaved-ice treats is a crowd favourite. Choose from seven delicious base flavours – herb jelly, soybean, matcha, coconut, milk tea, chocolate, or mango.

3. Getting fizzy with it

The best thing about ice cream is how versatile it is. Have it on its own, jazz it up by pairing it with root beer, or enjoy it atop a waffle.
Relive your favourite childhood memories with A&W, the first fast-food restaurant to open in Malaysia, all the way back in 1963! Enjoy its signature rootbeer float served in a chilled glass mug and topped with creamy vanilla ice cream.
Dig into a crispy waffle hot off the iron, topped with ice cream and strawberry or chocolate sauce. You can even get the all-new Choco Dino waffle or sundae to go!

4. Get the Inside Scoop

For a wider range of ice cream and waffles, enjoy handcrafted Malaysian-made artisanal flavours at Inside Scoop. Popular choices include the Valrhona Chocolate, Rocher, Red Velvet or, if you’re feeling adventurous, durian!
In fact, Inside Scoop’s durian ice cream is made from real D24 or seasonal Musang King pulp. This aromatic choice will surely satiate your desire for the King of Fruits.

5. You’re on a roll

Indulge in a crisp, light and fluffy Kürtőskalács at Rollney. Originating from Hungary, these cylinder-shaped, hollow pastries are the nation’s official dessert.
Have it on its own, or pair it with your choice of chocolate or vanilla ice cream. It’s too good not to share – though you’d likely want to keep it all to yourself!

6. Cool beans

I scream, you scream, we all scream for bingsu! An ice-cream list just wouldn’t be complete without Bean Jr’s Korean shaved-ice desserts.
Cool down with various flavours such as Ice Ice Baby, Mango Tango or Hey Mickey, and go nuts with Nuts About You or Man-Go-Crazy. No matter your choice, you know it will be soy good!
