That’s where this easy-to-cook petai fried rice recipe comes into play.
The result is a plate of spicy and delicious fried rice that is not only wholesome, but can also last you for more than one day, thus eliminating the hassle of cooking in between your work hours.
Enjoy this simple and delicious recipe which is enough for two persons.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of rice
- 2-3 eggs
- 100-200g prawns
- 100g petai (bitter beans)
- 4-5 bulbs garlic
- 3-4 bird’s eye chilies, chopped
- 2-3 red chilies, chopped
- 3-4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons dark soya sauce
- 2 tablespoons soya sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Begin by heating up the oil in a wok and frying the eggs until they’re about almost cooked. Once done, set aside.
- Next, heat up more oil and fry the garlic, petai, and red chili until fragrant. Then, add some salt and pepper to taste.
- Add in the prawns and fry until they turn slightly pink.
- Next, add in the rice and then drizzle the dark soya sauce and soya sauce. Mix well.
- Keep stirring the rice until fragrant.
- Finally, place the eggs atop the rice (you can also mix it in as well) and serve.
