Held from Nov 8-10 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Mitec), this automotive extravaganza is currently the only show outside of Japan to be under licence from, and modelled after, the Tokyo Auto Salon. The show is hosted in Malaysia by Element X Strategies and MUSE Group Asia, in collaboration with the San Ei Corporation and Tokyo Auto Salon Federation.
Now in its 41st year, Tokyo Auto Salon has grown to become one of the top-tiered international shows for both enthusiasts and exhibitors.
Last year’s KL event was experienced by more than 91,000 car lovers and visitors, featuring a total floor space of 130,000 sq ft that included exhibitors, an auto-styling competition, and a fleet of imported cars from Japan and Tier-1 tuners like Top Secret, Spoon, and HKS.
Promising to be “a highly exciting and supercharged experience” – according to Element X Strategies director and CEO Jason Yap – this year’s show will be even bigger and better, covering some 170,000 sq ft of displays and events.
Tickets for adults are priced as follows:
- RM50 a day for early birds;
- RM60 a day on the event days;
- RM120 for a three-day pass.
Tickets for children, meanwhile, are priced at:
- RM25 a day for early birds;
- RM30 a day on the event days;
- RM60 for a three-day pass.
Children below age six enter for free, while all persons with disabilities – including one caregiver if required – are entitled to 50% off ticket prices.
Don’t feel like waiting in a long queue to get in? Get yourself an “Express Lane” ticket, priced at RM70 a day for early birds (otherwise RM80).
Also available are VIP passes (RM150 a day), which grants the ticket holder complimentary access to a VIP lounge.
Finally, special “Black Tag” access is available for RM1,500. Holders will be entitled to a host of special privileges, including all-day access to all three days of the event; complimentary valet parking; access to the Black Tag lounge; special meet-and-greets; limited-edition merchandise, and much more!
