PETALING JAYA:
450 brands from over 40 countries, 1,500 café owners, 1,000 baristas, and 12,000 visitors!

Great excitement is brewing as the biggest café event in Malaysia, the International Café & Beverage Show (ICBS) 2024 returns to Kuala Lumpur.

If all things Café & Beverage is your idea of bliss or your line of work, this show is not to be missed.

Watch the experts roast, brew and pour; savour flavours and aromas, and of course, meet and connect with the best in the business too.

With a focus on specialty coffee, innovative trends in artisan café cuisine, café lifestyle, products, services and equipment, ICBS is an international standard marketplace for café owners, managers, and others in the food and beverage community to network, and source high quality goods.

Boosting Malaysia’s growing café culture, this premier event brings together top talent and leading industry suppliers from the region, while also attracting café lovers in general.

The popular ‘Roasters Village’ returns showcasing the finest beans and brews from South East Asia.

Event highlights include a “Roasters Village”. This is where small scale coffee roasters flaunt their finest beans.

The “Cafe Talk” segment meanwhile consists of exhibitor discussions, masterclasses and training sessions including courses organised by the Barista Guild Asia (BGA) for professional baristas.

This bubbling hub will be perfect for mixing and mingling; and picking up hints and opportunities – especially if you’re planning to set up a new venture.

At the “Village” you’ll find renowned roasters from Malaysia, Japan, Singapore and Vietnam. The show floor will also host participants from China, Italy, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Thailand, as well as official pavilions from Singapore and Taiwan.

Steaming hot competitions are also on the menu. The Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC) for instance, where Malaysian baristas compete in categories of the official World Coffee Events (WCE) such as the Malaysia Barista Championship, Malaysia Brewers Cup and Latte Art Championship. The winners will head to the prestigious 2024 World of Coffee Championships.

It’s not all coffee though. The “BakinLove Next Top Baker” competition finals will showcase some exceptional skills and creative flair too.

ICBS 2024 is sponsored by leading associations in South East Asia’s coffee industry, and is endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.

Christopher McCuin, managing director of Montgomery Asia, the show’s organiser, said: “We are excited to see the responses from our partners, sponsors, and exhibitors.”

“I would like to thank the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac), Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation for their support for ICBS 2024. Their support was vital to this event’s organisation, and we look forward to welcoming them, as well as the Malaysian café and coffee industry, and coffee enthusiasts to the show,” he added.

The show will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from May 23-25, and is open to trade visitors.

The event is open to the public on May 25. So everyone can join in, smell the coffee, taste the best, and watch champion baristas and bakers vie for top spots – a must for all café buffs.
