Not just a technological feat, the sensor offers images of an unequalled level of detail.

PARIS:
Motorola will be the first brand to release a new smartphone with the record-breaking sensor.

To optimise its performance, the Motorola Frontier will also feature the latest generation of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 system-on-chip (SoC), enabling the device to capture more detail in every image and with speed.

Other manufacturers are likely to launch models with a 200MP sensor later this year, with Xiaomi set to be next.

This type of sensor does not automatically guarantee exceptional photo quality; that aspect also depends on how light is managed.

However, this type of sensor does ensure the ability to zoom in and highlight certain details flawlessly.

Working with such images makes it easier to crop them without losing any quality or even to cut a single image to create several new ones and thus highlight one or more details.

Size doesn’t count for everything, although a maximum of pixels allows the user to take very precise pictures.

The images created with such a sensor are also suitable for making photo prints, including large formats, that retain perfectly clear definition.
