As part of its ongoing efforts to sustain the needs of some 200 canine rescues and its day-to-day operations, Lost Animals Souls Shelter (LASS), a no-kill animal welfare organisation is collaborating with food and beverage brand, KK Vege World Café to help raise funds.
Called the “LASS 2302 Brunch Crunch”, the fundraiser will take place between 11am and 3pm on Feb 23. It is open to the public.
Not only will you be doing a good deed, the event also promises a celebration of good eats and hearty laughter shared with dear ones.
Vignes Chelliah, president and founder of LASS said, “The work we do is essential for the survival of the many that rely on us to maintain a cruelty-free existence.
“Our troopers were once victims of severe injustices, rendering our pursuits a labour of love in every sense. The LASS commitment is defined by the ever-evolving needs of our healing sanctuary.”
The brunch aims to raise RM12,000 to cover the costs of vaccination and deworming treatments for the inhabitants of LASS.
Other regular expenses include pet food, veterinary expenses, staff salaries, and monthly overheads, among other areas.
Guests can look forward to a feast of Chinese and Indian vegetarian dishes, a medley of homemade favourites served in a buffet-style setting.
Patrons with pre-purchased seats will be entitled to an hour of sampling from choice gourmet selections.
Attendees will have the luxury of picking their preferred dine-in time in advance to secure their spots.
The four 60-minute slots are:
- 11am – 12pm
- 12pm – 1pm
- 1pm – 2pm
- 2pm – 3pm
Since it is a fund-raising event, KK Vege World Café will be closed to walk-ins throughout the duration of the buffet.

As the setup locked-in place is designed around pre-sold RSVPs, all bookings will be confirmed only after payment is received.
All proceeds will be channelled to LASS for the vaccination and deworming of their 200 canine rescues.
