KUALA LUMPUR:
Christmas came early for 50 children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary and Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari recently when they were treated to a fun and memorable experience at Aquaria KLCC.

As part of a collaboration with the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), Aquaria put on an entertaining show for the kids with their very own mermaids and Santa Claus.

Together with a pair of elves, the jolly man in red jumped into the water to perform his jingle bell dance for the children.

Santa and the mermaids proved dazzling to the children, who remained captivated throughout the show.

For the rest of the holiday season, Santa will only be performing for the public another four times, so be sure not to miss it!

A pair of mermaids with colourful tails mesmerise their young audience.

With beautiful and colourful tails, the mermaids were unfazed by the fact that they were swimming alongside many other magnificent creatures of the sea.

In addition to the dazzling mermaids, the children caught sight of the other inhabitants of the Living Ocean exhibit, including the Green Sea Turtle, Stingrays and Sand Tiger Sharks.

With dazzling smiles, this pair of mermaids gave the children a show to remember.

Simon Foong, Aquawalk’s group CEO said, “Christmas is a season for giving and we look forward to giving these children a memorable and magical Christmas experience while learning about the wonderful marine and freshwater species here at Aquaria KLCC.”

IJN CEO, Dr Aizi Azan Abdul Rahim concurred, saying, “Children from underprivileged backgrounds tend to have limited opportunities to enjoy fun and educational experiences such as these, which are important in helping them develop their interests and curiosity.”

In addition to the fun performances, be sure to try out Aquaria’s A Dash of Science, where visitors can participate in scientific experiments every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday throughout this month at the education booth.

With so much happening at Aquaria KLCC, it might be a good idea to plan some quality time with your loved ones here during this most wonderful time of the year.
