Toby, the cat who loves bread, not fish

Meet the mischievous but sweet Toby, the once feral cat, adopted by the Yew family.

Although not allowed inside the house on a permanent basis, Toby still manages to look like the King of the Yew household.

Whoever said cats love fish hasn’t met Toby. This once feral cat, now adopted by the Yew family, has a weakness for bread instead.

Having snuck into the house once, he jumped onto the dining table and ferociously tore at the packaging of a loaf of bread, greedily helping himself to huge morsels before taking off once he’d had his fill.

Blaming a rat for having ravaged the packet of bread, the Yews only discovered who the real culprit was when they found the front door left ajar.

To this day, the sneaky but nimble Toby either executes an Usain Bolt-like sprint when he sees an open door or casually saunters into the house when no one’s looking.

Obviously unhappy that he’s not welcome inside the house on a permanent basis, he’s made it his mission in life to outsmart the humans at their game.

Besides feeding him daily, the Yews also give him regular baths, take him to the vet when he’s feeling under the weather, and spoil him rotten with all manner of treats.

Friendly with humans but hostile with other cats (who needs the competition?), Toby is much loved by the Yews who spend as much time with him as they can.

Toby loves eating bread and dashing into the house whenever he gets the slightest opportunity.
