Humble Chef has come a long way from being a single, simple food truck roaming the busy streets of Kuala Lumpur looking to feed hungry Malaysians. Success was guaranteed as its food, while limited, is tasty and more importantly, cheap.
Three outlets later, Humble Chef continues to provide customers with savoury pastas and pita bread with price tags ranging from RM3.00 to RM10.00.

For those intending to drop by, it is important not to go later than 12pm. Any time beyond that means there is no guarantee of securing a seat as the restaurant tends to get filled up very quickly.
Despite the large lunch crowd, the level of service thankfully does not waver and orders still come out swiftly from the kitchen.
For starters, give the lamb omelette a go. Fluffy, cheesy and filled with juicy pieces of meat. What’s not to like with this large portion of egg?
Palates may vary though, as it may come off as bland to some.

With the appetiser out of the way, diners can then move on to the beef carbonara spaghetti.
It may not look like much, but it makes for a good quick bite.
The creamy carbonara sauce is the highlight of the dish, with the beef slices absorbing the sauce and the slices of capsicum tossed in adding colour.

If spaghetti is not enough for you, there’s always the macaroni and cheese.
It comes served in a little cauldron-like bowl and despite its small portion, the amount of cheese baked into the macaroni is more than generous.
With delicious and freshly made sauce, this is a must-have dish when you stop by this restaurant.
