Just a 20-minute drive from Ipoh old town, is a hidden gem sandwiched between the two famous cave temples of Sam Poh Tong and Kek Lok Tong.
Secluded from the busy city outside, the Qing Xin Ling Leisure and Cultural Village is one of Ipoh’s tourist attractions you should not miss.
Literally translated in English as “Serene Hill”, Qing Xin Ling lives up to its name by incorporating the beauty of nature while taking you back in time.
Be sure to purchase your entrance ticket at Syarikat Perabot Kota first before heading to Qing Xin Ling or else you will be disappointed to learn that tickets are not sold at the entrance.
Getting to Qing Xin Ling can be confusing because there is no clear signage. To get there, you have to drive through the residential area of Taman Saikat. The roads can be narrow as it’s a pretty small neighbourhood.
Just in case, here’s a picture of the place. When you see this, you’ll know you’re in the right place.

There are many activities you can indulge in over here – ride a bicycle, feed the fish, barbecue, set up a campfire and more.

Riding a bicycle is fun, but walking would be a better option as the paths are gravelly and some areas are off-limits to bicycles anyway.
1. God of Fortune and Wish Tree

From the entrance, walk straight and you’ll be greeted by an oversized statue of the God of Fortune standing under the shade of a huge tree.
The branches are dripping with red ribbons that symbolise the good wishes of visitors past.
2. Classic Vintage Items

3. 3D Replica

Along the way, you’ll come across a series of 3D replica artwork that portrays various scenes from days gone by.

6. Cultural Village
Keep walking up the winding path paved with stones where more kiosks and old shops await.
Previously, it was a trail for jungle trekking but now has been turned into a stretch of 80s-style villages.

7. Romantic Chalets

8. Nature in all its glory

All in all, the Qing Xin Ling experience is quirky in some ways but overall a pleasant experience offering many Instagram-worthy photo opportunities.
