If you’re a diehard seafood lover, Crab Factory in Johor Bahru is definitely one stop you simply have to make.

If you’ve been to the original Crab Factory outlet in PJ SS2, and enjoyed the experience tremendously, the visit down south will not disappoint.
The restaurant is located in Little Paris, Johor Bahru’s attempt at replicating the famous city in France with tastefully thought out architecture. Overall, this little development looks rather neat.

If you’re feasting on crab, there are three different sauces to sample –Signature Southern Bang, Creamy Lemak, and Salted Egg.

For those who haven’t tried Louisiana-style seafood dining before, the experience can be quite fun.
Your seafood is basically poured directly onto the table and you dig in with your bare hands.
There are no bowls, plates, or forks and knifes, but thankfully, a little hammer and clamp for those pesky crab claws.

There are three different value meals to choose from: Crab Lover Shiok (two-three pax); Crab Lover Party (four-five pax); and Crab Lover Giler (seven-nine pax) priced at RM49.90 or RM59.90 per pax.
Pretty decently priced for the experience and for premium ingredients.

Having sampled all three sauces, the classic Southern Bang tends to stand out with its cajun spices, lemon, garlic, and herbs that draw out the natural tastes of the fresh seafood.
Creamy Lemak makes for a good sauce base if you love deep-fried mantao. As for the Salted Egg sauce, well, it could have been a little stronger for that extra kick.
