Prophets of Rage releasing a new song this weekend

The supergroup Prophets of Rage - which consists of members of Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy - have announced they have a new album on the way, and fans need only wait until Saturday to hear a new track.

In an interview with KaaosTV ahead of a June 30 show in Finland, posted to YouTube this week and spotted by NME, band members Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk answered questions and offered news of what’s to come.

“We’re on to another record now. We’ve already finished a 13-song record that we are just in the process of just putting together at this moment in time,” said Commerford.

He later revealed, “We have a new song that comes out on July 7th. And it’s on to new territory, new sounds and new music.”

Prophets of Rage released their debut, self-titled album in 2017.

The band has a host of additional tour dates coming up throughout Europe, with festival appearances in France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Spain all coming up in the days ahead, and a show at Twickenham Stadium in London on July 15. From there, they head to North America, where they’ll play a string of shows into early September.
