PETALING JAYA:
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has established a committee to advise him on matters related to national development and economic resilience.

The Policy Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister (PMAC) comprises former Petronas CEO Hassan Marican, economists Yeah Kim Leng and Nungsari Ahmad Radhi, as well as FVSB Sdn Bhd executive chairman Ahmad Fuad Ali.

Hassan, Yeah, Nungsari and Fuad were previously part of the Advisory Committee to Finance Minister or Acfin, which was set up to assist Anwar in his capacity as finance minister.

Acfin was chaired by Hassan.

In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office said the setting up of PMAC followed the end of Acfin’s term in February.

“The proposal mooted by Acfin was considered and part of it is being implemented.”

It also said that the PMAC members would not be paid by the government.

Hassan will also chair PMAC.
